"Koprinka" Reservoir

"Koprinka" Reservoir is 7 km away to the west of the town of Kazanlak at Tundzha River. It's water volume is 150 mln m³. The length of the reservoir is about 20 km. The paved wall of the reservoir is about 600 m long and it is a very nice place to go for a walk. After the wall, the walk continues in the forest along the reservoir. There are many pleasant places for relaxation and camping. The reservoir is also suitable for water sports. Its old name was "Georgi Dimitrov".
The ruins of Sevtopolis - the capital of the Odrysian Kingdom are located at the bottom of the Koprinka Reservoir. (See also: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seuthopolis )
